The teacher will be able to briefly explain how to set up the basics of using ProLoQuo2go.

What teachers will be able to get out of this course overall is: This lesson can be used for teachers who also do not have the application but have students who will begin using it in the classroom. Teachers who already have ProLoQuo2go will find this lesson for educational. The learners will also be active participants and will be completing questions during the course. The learners will use this mini lesson in deciding if ProLoQuo2go is the right choice for their classroom students who have language delays or disabilities. The learners will be looking at this mini lesson to gain information on why and how to use the Ipad for communication. The learners will have prior experience with using technology in the classroom like an Ipad. The nature of what is to be learned:For instructors to understand the importance of using an Ipad for alternate way of communicating and also giving broad explanation of how to use ProLoQuo2go.Ībout the learners: The learners will be new teachers with their undergraduate in Education for grades birth-6th in both regular education and special education.

It's important to have a brief understanding of how to use the most common application called ProLoQuo2go which allows for students with learning disabilities to communicate. Instructional Problem: Many instructors do not understand or know the importance of using programs on Ipads for students with learning disabilities.

Identifying software on Ipad for communication purposes.Switch toys, Low Tech voice output devices, High tech voice output devices.Ipad versus other communication devices.Purpose and benefits for using Ipad as alternate way of communication.Participants will learn verbal information, intellectual skills, cognitive strategies, motor skills and attitude by the end of this course. This course will also allow teachers with the application ProLoQuo2go, to understand how to work the basics within the program. This lesson will allow teachers to identify the important aspects of using an Ipad for alternate ways of communicating within the classroom. There are many ways for students who are non verbal or trouble verbalizing to express how they feel through alternate ways of communication.
